I've previously owned three cheaper machines that eventually cost more in repairs than they were worth. I wish I had bought this one first. It's well built (in the USA), runs quietly and quickly, and makes clear, hard, professional looking,"top hat" shaped cubes that don't stick together and are slow to melt in the glass.
First class product, well worth the price.
