I only used this product once so far, it seems liked it made ice pretty quickly. The first used, I put some fresh squeezed lime juice in, there was no adverse plastic taste as other compained of. I agree that the ice sizes dont seem to differ much.

I have used my ice maker, I store ice up for the cooler. I like the sizes it makes the smallest is great for putting in my water bottles. The largest goes great in the cooler and mixed drinks. I wish it had a freeze compartment for keeping ice cold until bagging.

This ice maker is a little workhorse. I received it and immediately started making ice. I had purchased one of those french door refrigerators and the ice maker is a total disappointment. So I decided to invest in a portable ice maker and I am so glad I decided on this one. It will pay for itself in no time at all, especially when bag ice at the store is 2 bucks a pop. Highly recommended.

I use it to make ice for storage to supplement the very slow & low capacity ice maker I have in my useless side by side.

I am home all day so I can empty it into bags when full.

It is an ice maker, not an ice storage device. I like the cubes ( hollow tubes ) that are easiser to eat.

We've had terrible luck with refrigerator ice makers, so portable ice makers are a prefect solution. It makes ice far faster than any ice maker we've had. Doesn't require a water hook-up and has a 1-year guarantee.

makes ice beautifully. once you learn the process with the thermostat when the ice bin is full to just pour warm water over it to reset it, it is great.

The unit worked great for about 1 year then, I believe, the ice full sensor failed and the unit would not work. Contacted Sunpentown and they are working on advising me what to do to repair the unit. Unfortunately, the unit was 1 month beyond the warranty period so I don't know how much the repair parts will be. I am somewhat disapointed with this failure after only one year of very light usage so I'm not happy with the reliability
of the product.
